I think you might get away with something exotic, with a strong last name like D'Errico--how about Rory, or Deanna ( as in Troy) . I still like Elizabeth the best, 'cause then you can be Beth or Bethie , but as an adult use Elizabeth. Melanie and Melissa ( or Marissa) still sound good--nickname "Melly" from Mag playing one for so long or "Trompeta???" I like Renee as a first name--there aren't many of them and it's a bit exotic, but can be shortened to Rennie. I'm going to have to go back and read all the choices that were on Maddie's list.
