What's all this?

From a professional educator and full-time working mom's viewpoint, this blog strives for a reading experience that's just step away from the traditional "here's what my kids did today" posts. Specializing in elementary (and desperately trying to understand two younger) children, we'll explore daily aspects of today's culture, media, and educational process, and their effects on a (totally normal, we swear) modern family. The author and her husband are Music educators in the public school system of New Jersey, U. S., and welcome commenters to converse and add their own expertise. Just be sure to kindly mind your shoes, and step over the giant piles of snark.
